As the global energy sector shifts rapidly toward renewable resources, advanced simulation and optimization tools have become essential learning skills for engineers, researchers, and enthusiasts. MATLAB and Simulink are among the most widely used tools in this field. These tools have become fundamental for modeling and simulation in research and development across diverse industries, including aerospace, energy, medical devices, communications, electronics, financial services, industrial automation, and more.
The IEEE NSU Power and Energy Society Student Branch Chapter is excited to organize the workshop titled “Workshop on Advanced MATLAB & Simulink for Renewable Energy Research” on 09 August 2025. Power systems are the future of energy, and the demand for experts in this area is growing at lightning speed. After receiving an excellent response to our first MATLAB and Simulink workshop, the IEEE NSU PES Student Branch Chapter is thrilled to bring you a follow-up session.
With advancements in power electronic devices and photovoltaic (PV) power systems, there is increasing interest in transformerless grid-connected PV inverters, which are cheaper, smaller, and more efficient than traditional alternatives. To guide us through these concepts, the insightful workshop will be led by Mr. Mohammad Shafayet Hossain, now a Lecturer at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, North South University, and a NSU alumnus. He is deeply passionate about power systems and is well-known for his solid knowledge and smart problem-solving skills.
Join us to gain valuable insights into smart grids, energy systems, and power control. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the latest tools shaping today’s energy sector! Seats are limited—register now!
