Winter is almost here and for many, this single sentence means fear, sleepless nights, and a struggle to survive.
Every year, thousands of people in the northern districts of Bangladesh and across the country suffer from the harsh cold wave that sweeps over them. While we stay warm under cozy blankets at home or pull our hoodies tight against the chilly breeze outside, the less fortunate spend their nights on cold, unforgiving ground. With no home to take shelter in and no warm clothes to protect themselves, they wrap their bodies in old sacks and worn-out rags—because that is all they have.For them, winter isn’t a season.It’s a battle.
This is why UIU Social Services Club is once again organizing “𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙡𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.”
Because no one deserves to fight winter alone.Let’s join hands to make society a kinder, warmer place. We are accepting all forms of donations—old clothes, blankets, or monetary contributions. Your support will help provide new winter clothes and blankets to individuals and families in need.
This year, we will distribute winter essentials in the remote areas of North Bengal.
