About the event

Tipoffs
Since the beginning of human civilization, we have seen the impact of muscle power in all eras and regions. The upbeat message is that; in this neo-modern era, we have come to realize that we must stand up against muscle power, But the confounding thing is; this understanding is getting turned to an attestation of that diabolical hegemony. But in any way we need to pull through and weigh up the rights.

"Tipoffs" the title encapsulates the essence of sociopolitical and ecological realities that are often acknowledged yet unexamined—facts that individuals may witness or experience but fail to fully comprehend or analyze. Among these artists embodies a digital dialogue that translates their diverse embodied experiences into a visual matrix, emphasizing the intersectionality inherent in questioning and representing varied realities. Each piece is not only reflecting personal narratives but also to serve as a catalyst for broader societal reflection.

The concept of this exhibition centers on transcending borders through a profound artistic intervention, representing four female artists from Bangladesh and Austria. This initiative seeks to make the invisible visible, encouraging audiences to perceive the world in a more nuanced, multilayered manner, highlighting its intricate complexities. By fostering connections and promoting the universe, we think this exhibition aspires to challenge the narratives and inspire critical engagement with the surrounding sociopolitical and ecological landscape.

Furthermore, the digital format chosen for this exhibition amplifies the reach and accessibility of the artworks, allowing for an engagement that transcends geographical limitations. By contextualizing their work within the framework of “Tipoffs” perspective, these artists invite viewers to engage critically with their own social behaviors and recognize the ways in which they are shaped by their individual contexts.

This collaboration effectively bridges two countries, both situated within contrasting realms of the so-called global phenomena, which have been profoundly influenced by diverse sociocultural and economic factors. Each artist brings a unique perspective, creating a rich tapestry of ideas that challenge homogenized understandings of existence.

Ultimately, through the creation of this exhibition, "Tipoffs" aspires to cultivate a nuanced understanding of our shared reality. By inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences in relation to these artistic narratives, the project aims not only to spark dialogue but also to inspire action toward a more equitable and understanding world.

20.000 times a day, we get what we need; breathing is our most important need. One minute without breathing and our desire becomes greater than thirst after hours of body work. The collaborative intertwining of human and non-human agency – of culture and nature – our embodied connection to it and our sense of belonging to the biotic community are basics of our life. The areas of competence of art and its corresponding know-how are constantly expanding, with artists and cultural creators breaking new ground. How does art enter into dialogue with people who are currently facing constant new challenges? One of the greatest causes of ecological crises is the state of personal alienation from nature in which many people live. We lack a sense of intimacy with the living world.

The opportunity is also taken to engage in dialogue with artists who come from different cultural backgrounds and are witnesses to the complex structures of contemporary change. This adds a further geopolitical aspect to the ecological debates. It invites reflection and action on how we can share spaces. Also of interest is the overlap between ecology and psychology, the deconstruction and reconstruction of social narratives, and reflection on the complex relationships between human behaviour, plasticity and or access to natural intelligence.

Natural Intelligence refers to the flexible ability possessed by animals, including humans, to achieve a variety of goals in different contexts based on their rich and varied stream of experiences in the natural world. In a world where artificial intelligence dominates the spotlight, the secrets of cognition woven into the very fabric of life itself often remain overlooked. But what if the key to unlocking the mysteries of cognition lies not in silicon chips, but in the rustling leaves of a forest or the intricate dance of a bee colony?
