United Healthcare Presents Shutter Stories Chapter IV unveils its official identity. The legacy continues as we prepare for yet another national gathering of photographers and storytellers. With fresh energy and limitless possibilities, this chapter is set to define creativity. After many challenges, the moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived, the Call for Photo is now officially open. This is your opportunity to take part in one of the country’s most celebrated photography exhibitions.

1. Anyone from Bangladesh is eligible to submit their works.
2. Participants must provide proof of eligibility in the form of a Student ID Card/National ID/Passport no or other necessary documents if required.

Category: Single Photo

Theme: Open
Medium: DSLR/Mobile Phone/PNS
1. Each participant can submit at most 10 Photos in a single section. A participant can submit in both Colors and Black & White.
2. All kinds of HDR, Digital Photo Composite, or Photo Montage are allowed in Single Photos. Only minor burning, dodging and/or color correction is acceptable, as is cropping. In the case of digital photo composite or photo montage, all used photos must be taken by the Photographers. (Proof of capture might be required if it is necessary)
Category: Photo Story

1. Number of photographs per story: Minimum 6 to Maximum 12
Each participant can submit at most 2 Photo Series/Stories in this section. A participant can submit in both Colors and Black & White.
2. Photo Stories including (but not restricted to) journalism, personal stories, and creative/conceptual will be accepted. Photographers can use any type of photo manipulation to express his/her creativity. And all the photos should be coherent and share a common theme.
3. All forms of HDR, digital composites, and photo montages are allowed in the Breaking Story category. Digital manipulation is permitted only for submissions in the Photo Story category. Any manipulated image that includes composite elements (such as adding clouds, birds, or other objects) must feature content that was originally photographed by the participant. Judges may request proof of authenticity if required.

For example:

-> If you are not a student and you are a job holder or businessman, you will have to mention the name of that institution, if not then you may write as:
Freelancer_Participant’s name_Category_Mobile no_Serial no
2. Resolution:
DSLR/PNS Submission:
Must be in JPEG or JPG format, and must be at least 3000 pixels on the longer side. The minimum resolution is 300 dpi.
Mobile Submission:
Must be in JPEG or JPG format, and must be at least 2400 pixels on the longer side.
3. No watermark or border is allowed.
4. Each Photograph can’t be more than 10 MB
5. After the Submission of the email, you have to confirm your submission by posting on this Event’s Discussions. Include the following information in your post: Email Address & Number of Photographs submitted.

TERMS & CONDITION FOR PHOTO SUBMISSION

1. Submission of photos exhibited previously in any other exhibition is strongly discouraged.
2. Photographs that include sculptures, statues, paintings, and other works of art will be accepted as long as they do not constitute copyright infringement or fraud.
3. The photograph must be the sole work of the participant. By entering, the participant confirms that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity, or intellectual property rights of any person or entity and that no other party has any right, title and claim in the photograph.
4. The photograph must not contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.
5. Photographers will be notified about the registration process, fees, and deadlines after the results are published. If any ‘selected’ photographer fails to complete the registration process within the registration deadline his/her photograph(s) will be disqualified and priority will be given to the waiting list.
6. Judges & curators hold the right of altering any selected images. (like, cropping, conversion to black and white, flipping, etc.)
7. UIUPC holds the right to examine the authenticity of the photograph/source material in order to confirm compliance with these rules.
8. UIUPC can use the submitted photographs for promotional activities, but UIUPC will not use any photograph for business purposes.
RIGHT TO MODIFY THE EXHIBITION

If, for any reason, the exhibition is not capable of running as planned or any other causes beyond the control of UIUPC that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this exhibition, UIUPC reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) who tamper with the entry process, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify any photographs or suspend the exhibition.
