The Earth is crying out...can you hear it? Choked rivers, smothered oceans, skies heavy with fumes, and lands buried under mountains of plastic. This isn’t just a warning; it’s a scream for survival. But what if your hands could turn the tide? What if your voice could drown out the noise of pollution?
This is your moment.
Viqarunnisa Noon Earth Club is proud to present the 4th National Earth Fest, an explosion of passion, creativity, and real change. This isn’t just another event, it’s a movement of the fearless, a gathering of young warriors ready to fight for the planet. Imagine your ideas sparking revolutions, your art shaming pollution into oblivion, your actions forcing the world to listen. This is where innovation meets urgency. Where sustainability isn’t a choice, it’s the only way forward.

❏ SEGMENT DETAILS


1. CROSSWORD
The Crossword segment is designed to tickle your brain and expand your awareness of our environment through a fun, engaging puzzle-based format. This segment invites young participants to explore environmental terminology, concepts related to sustainability, and the ongoing fight against plastic pollution all through a grid of curiosity and clues.

🔸Rules:
➤Open for Junior Category participants (Class 3–5, VNS students only).
➤Duration: 30 minutes
➤Puzzle sheets will be distributed on-the-spot during the event day and will be collected immediately after time ends.
➤Participants must solve the crosswords individually.
➤Only pencil or pen usage is allowed. No external help or materials permitted.



2. MEMORY CONTEST
In a fast-paced world, the ability to observe, retain, and recall is a superpower. The Memory Contest is here to test just that, your memory! Whether it’s spotting changes, recalling patterns, or remembering visuals, this contest is a thrilling test of attention and quick thinking.

🔸Rules :
➤Open for Junior Category participants (Class 3–5, VNS students only).
➤Participants will be shown a series of images, slides, or physical items for a limited time ( approx. 30 seconds)
➤After the viewing phase, they will be asked questions based on what they saw and write their answers on a sheet of paper. The answer sheets will be collected immediately after time ends.
➤Questions will vary from object count, color, order, to scene description.
➤Individual participation.



3. DRAWING
Through lines and colors, students of Class 3 and 4 are invited to depict the beauty of a clean Earth and the dangers of pollution. This is more than just a competition, it is a canvas for tomorrow’s guardians of the planet to share their voice through art.

🔸Rules :
➤Open only to students of Class 3 and Class 4 from Viqarunnisa Noon School.
➤Drawing must align with the event’s central theme: “Beat Plastic Pollution.”
➤Participants must bring their own drawing materials (pencil, crayons, colors, eraser, etc.).
➤Drawing paper will be provided by the organizers at the venue.
➤Each participant will have 60 minutes to complete their drawing on the spot.
➤Only individual entries are allowed.
➤Use of watercolours, glitters, or stickers is not allowed.



4. WALL MAGAZINE
The Wall Magazine segment empowers students to come together and express their creativity, awareness, and ideas about environmental issues, especially the urgent call to Beat Plastic Pollution. This segment celebrates artistic collaboration, eco-conscious thinking, and bold expression all showcased through a thematic wall presentation created by budding changemakers.

🔸Rules :
➤ This segment is exclusively open to Class 5 students in the Junior category, and to all classes in the other three categories.
➤ Participants must be in a team of 3 members.
➤ The theme must clearly align with “Beat Plastic Pollution”.
➤ Standard size (example: 5feet x 4feet)
➤ Materials used must be safe and preferably eco-friendly (e.g., recycled paper, reused materials).

➤ Submission Date - To be submitted by 1st or 2nd August, 2025
➤ Location - Assigned classrooms at VNSC campus main branch (details to be announced prior to event)
➤ The wall magazines must be submitted physically by the team before the reporting deadline.
➤ Each team must write the following details on the back of the submission:
•Team name
•Names of all participants
•Institution Name & Branch name (if any)
•Version + Shift (if any)
•Class, Section & Group (if any)
•Roll Numbers
•Contact number of one representative student



5. OLYMPIAD
Knowledge is the foundation of awareness, and awareness is the beginning of action. The Olympiad segment of the 4th National Earth Fest is a challenge for sharp minds who are ready to test their understanding of environmental science, sustainability, and the global fight against plastic pollution. It’s not just about knowing facts; it’s about being prepared to protect the Earth through knowledge.

🔸Rules :
➤ Open to participants in the Senior, Secondary, and Higher Secondary categories.
➤ The Olympiad will be held individually.
➤ 20 MCQ and short-answer based questions.
➤ Duration - 30 minutes
➤ Participants must bring their own pen, pencil, and eraser.
➤ Answer sheets will be provided.
➤ Use of devices or any reference materials during the test is strictly prohibited.



6. PROJECT DISPLAY
The Project Display segment invites participants to showcase their environmental innovations, scientific investigations, or awareness campaigns all centered around one crucial theme: Beat Plastic Pollution. From eco-friendly prototypes to powerful awareness tools, this segment highlights what today’s generation can build for a better tomorrow.

🔹 Theme : “Recycle to Restore”

🔸Rules :
➤ Open to participants in the Senior, Secondary, and Higher Secondary categories.
➤ Each project must be made with recycled materials from your surrounding like wastes, plastics etc.
➤ Participants must be in a team of 3 members.
➤ All models must be prepared before the event day. No on-site construction will be allowed.

🔹 Submission :
➤ Submission Date - To be submitted by 1st or 2nd August, 2025
➤ Location - Assigned classrooms at VNSC campus main branch (details to be announced prior to event)
➤ The projects must be submitted physically by the team before the reporting deadline.
➤ Project boards must clearly include:
•Project Title
•Team name
•Names of all participants
•Institution Name & Branch name (if any)
•Version + Shift (if any)
•Class, Section & Group (if any)

7. EXTEMPORE SPEECH
The power to speak is the power to lead. Whether it's plastic pollution, climate change, or sustainability, your words could ignite awareness and drive action. This segment is not just about speaking fluently, it’s about thinking critically, responding spontaneously, and inspiring the audience with meaningful insight.

➤ Open to participants in the Senior, Secondary, and Higher Secondary categories.
➤ It is an individual segment.
➤ Upon arrival each participant will be given a random topic on the spot related to environmental issues, plastic pollution, or sustainable living.
➤ Preparation time: 1 minutes
➤ Speaking time: 2 minutes
➤ Language: English or Bengali (Participants must choose one and maintain consistency)
➤ Reading from paper or using digital notes is not allowed.



8. SCRAPBOOK
This is a space where writing, art, and environmental knowledge merge into one powerful narrative page by page. Whether you're crafting it with hand-drawn illustrations or well-organized written content, the scrapbook should reflect your commitment to protecting the planet.

➤ Open to participants in the Senior and Secondary categories.
➤ This is an individual submission-based segment.
➤ The scrapbook must be handmade, using paper, printed or hand-written materials, drawings, cut-outs, or any eco-friendly craft items.
➤ Digital scrapbooks or printed templates will not be accepted.
➤Minimum of 4 pages, maximum of 10 pages (excluding the cover page).

➤ Submission Date - To be submitted by 1st or 2nd August, 2025
➤ Location - Assigned classrooms at VNSC campus main branch (details to be announced prior to event)
➤ The scrapbook must be submitted physically by the participant before the reporting deadline.

9. THEME WRITING / STORY WRITING / ARTICLE WRITING
Words have the power to challenge minds, provoke thought, and inspire change. Whether it’s a compelling short story, an informative article, or a theme-based reflection, this segment gives you the space to shape narratives that matter and raise awareness through the written word.

🔸Rules :
➤ Open to Senior Category participants only.
➤ Language: Bengali or English (must maintain consistency)
➤ Word Limit: 250–350 words
➤ It is an individual segment.
➤ Submissions must be original. Plagiarism or use of AI-generated content will result in disqualification.

🔹 Submission :
➤ Deadline - 30th July, 2025
➤ Submission must be in PDF format
➤ Submit via Google form ( details to be announced prior to deadline )



10. PHOTOGRAPHY
A single photograph can tell a story that words often fail to express. This segment is not about high-end cameras, but about vision, message, and impact. If your photo can make someone stop, think, or change you've done your part for the planet.

📌Exhibition Fee : 300tk

🔸 Rules :
➤ Open to participants in the Secondary and Higher Secondary categories.
➤ This is an individual submission-based segment.
➤ Participants can submit only one photograph.
➤ The photograph can be taken using a camera or mobile phone but must be the participant’s own original work.
➤ Editing is allowed, but over-editing or use of AI-generated visuals will lead to disqualification.
➤ Plagiarized or copied images from the internet will result in disqualification.
➤ Each photo must have a title and a short caption (maximum 50 words) explaining its relevance to the theme.

🔹 Submission :
➤ Deadline - 30th July, 2025
➤ Submissions must be in JPEG or PNG format and should not exceed 10MB.
➤ Submit via Google form ( details to be announced prior to deadline )



11. RECYCLE RELAY
Where speed meets sustainability, the Recycle Relay is an innovative hybrid game that combines the thrill of a relay race with the principles of waste management. Participants will engage in a high-energy physical relay where they must correctly identify and sort different types of waste including plastic, paper, metal, and e-waste while racing to dump them in their designated bins placed across a defined distance. The perfect balance of teamwork, environmental knowledge, and agility will define the champions of this eco-charged contest.

🔸 Rules :
➤ Open to participants in the Secondary and Higher Secondary categories.
➤ This is a team segment, each team must consist of 2 members.
➤ Four types of waste items will be used in the game - Plastic, Paper, Metal & E-waste (batteries, small devices, etc.)
➤ Each team will be randomly assigned unsorted boxes of materials (via color-coded indicators).
➤ Each member will be responsible for sorting the waste materials according to the types they fall under and dump them in the designated bins.
➤ All bins will be placed at a specific distance from the sorting station.
➤ Teams will be judged based on Accuracy of sorting & Speed of completion.
➤ Misplaced waste or incorrect dumping will result in penalties and evidence of foul play will result in disqualification.

🔹 Procedure :
➤ Start—---Sort—----Dump+2ndStart—----Sort—--Dump+End
➤ The Recycle Relay begins with Team Member 1 running from the starting line to Sorting Zone 01, where they sort their assigned waste materials. After sorting, they proceed to Dump Station 01 and dispose of the waste into the correct bins. The moment Team Member 1 completes their dump, Team Member 2 starts their run from Dump Station 01, heads to Sorting Zone 02, sorts their assigned waste, and then runs to Dump Station 02 to complete the final disposal. The relay concludes once Team Member 2 finishes dumping all their sorted waste correctly.



12. SHORT FILM
The Short Film segment of the 4th National Earth Fest invites students to showcase their creativity, voice, and perspective on environmental issues through cinematic expression. This is your chance to craft a compelling story that inspires people to rethink their habits and take action against plastic pollution.

🔸 Rules :
➤ Open to participants in the Higher Secondary category only.
➤ Participants can register individually or in a team of up to 2 members.
➤ The short film must focus on the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution”.
➤ Duration - 2 to 5 minutes maximum.
➤ Language - Bengali or English (must include subtitles if the language used is not widely understood).
➤ All content (script, visuals, music) must be original or copyright-free.
➤ Offensive, plagiarized, or irrelevant content will result in immediate disqualification.
➤ The short film segment will be conducted in two rounds:

➊ Round 1: Online Submission & Judgement
❖Participants will submit their video file in the registration form
❖Top 6 short films will be selected for the final round from the submissions.

➋ Round 2: Impact and Reach
❖The selected short films will be featured (uploaded) from our Facebook page with team details and each video will be up for 3 days (31st July - 2nd August) in order to gather public interaction (likes, comments, shares, views)
❖Every interaction will be counted for points and merged with points from the judges to announce the winners.

➤ Submission must be in MP4 format
➤ Submit via Google form ( details to be announced prior to deadline )



13. CASE STUDY
Real problems need real thinkers. The Case Study segment challenges participants to step into the shoes of policy makers, sustainability experts, and eco-leaders. This is not just an academic task; it is a platform to explore, research, and propose ideas that could shape the future of our planet.

🔸 Rules :
➤ Open to participants in the Higher Secondary category only.
➤ Participants must register in teams of 3 members.
➤ Plagiarized, copied or AI contents from the internet will result in disqualification.
➤ The case study will be conducted in two rounds:

➊ Round 1: Online Submission
❖Teams will be provided with a real-world environmental problem statement.
❖They must prepare a written solution and presentation slides (max 10 slides).
❖Submissions will be judged based on problem analysis, feasibility, innovation, and alignment with the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution.”
❖Top 8 teams will be shortlisted for the final round.

➋ Round 2: On-spot Finale Presentation
❖The selected teams will present their solutions live during the event in front of the judges.
❖Each team will get 7 minutes to present and 3 minutes for Q&A.

🔹 Submission :
Submissions will be taken via google form and the teams will be contacted through email.
➤ Round 1 (Online):
Submit the PDF of your presentation slides and a one-page executive summary.
➤ Round 2 (Finale):
Top 8 teams will be notified via email and must confirm participation in the live presentation round on the event day.
Teams must bring their final presentation on a pen drive and be prepared to present on stage.



🔺IMPORTANT NOTES 🔺

🟩 Registration : The registration forms and fees will be revealed soon from the event page. However, the registration process is divided into two categories -
1. For general students: Participation in any segment will require a registration fee. Stay tuned to the event page for the updates regarding the registration form.
2. For students of VNSC: To participate, VNSC students must complete their membership by paying the membership fee on campus. No additional registration fee is required. However, they must fill out the online registration form to ensure in which segment they are participating.


🟩 Team participation : In the team based segments, the team members must be from the same institution and within the same category (Senior, Secondary or Higher Secondary).


🟩 Preliminary rounds : To make sure students from all four branches of VNSC get a fair chance and to handle the large number of participants, there will be an exclusive selection round for VNSC students in Drawing (Class 3 & 4), Olympiad, and Extempore Speech segments. Those who qualify will join the final round with students from other schools at the VNSC Main Campus on the event day.


■ Drawing :
The Drawing segment will be held in two rounds for the participants from the junior category. In the Preliminary Round, students from each class (3 and 4) will compete across all four branches of VNSC, covering both morning and day shifts, and including both the English and Bangla versions. From this round, the top 2 students from each class per shift, version and branch will be selected (Total 40). The list of qualifiers will be published prior to the event day. These selected students will be called to participate in the Final Round, which will take place at the VNSC Main Campus during the event. Winners will be selected based on performance in this final round.


■ Olympiad :
The Olympiad will be conducted in two rounds only for the students of VNSC. The Preliminary Round will be held on the same day across all four branches (the date to be announced soon) for participants from senior, secondary & higher secondary categories. Participants will be given a question paper consisting of 15 MCQs and 1 short-answer question. The total duration will be 20 minutes. Based on accuracy and score, selected participants will be shortlisted and notified ahead of the final round. The Final Round will be conducted on the main event day at VNSC Main Campus, where the shortlisted participants will compete for the top positions with all the other general participants from different institutions.


■ Extempore Speech :
The Extempore Speech segment will be conducted in two stages only for the students of VNSC. In the Preliminary Round, all registered participants from senior and secondary categories will compete within their respective VNSC branches. Each participant will be given a random topic and limited time to prepare and deliver a short speech. Based on the scores, a selected number of top participants will be shortlisted and announced before the main event. These qualifiers will proceed to the Final Round at the VNSC Main Campus, where they will compete live in front of a panel of judges with all the other general participants from different institutions.
