Join us in celebrating all things Neighbourhood and Community Houses! We love to party and celebrate this fantastic week (which also aligns with Families Week!).
If you have never been to a Neighbourhood or Community House before, use this week as your excuse to come along and visit one.
We have 4 along the NW Coast:
East Devonport Neighbourhood House
Devonport Community House
Ulverstone Neighbourhood House
Burnie Community House
This year we have some great activities, free events and some delicious treats to try! Have a look at our weekly schedule and see when you can come and visit us.
Monday: 2pm - 3pm - FoodShed, come along and try out some of our delicious housemade condiments for free! You can also pick up some free bread and produce while you visit. Located at the bottom of the driveway at Devonport Community House
Tuesday: 2pm - 3:30pm - Save $$ in the Drive, our annual event all about saving you money! There will be tables of household goods, winter clothes and bedding available at no charge to you! Free BBQ and smoothies - visit with Mission Australia while you are here to find out more, or kick back with Sam from Reclink Australia.
Wednesday: 9am - 12pm - Playhouse (Corner Charles & Forbes St) - free babycinos and drinks for the grownups! Come along to the Playhouse and visit with your 0 - 5 year olds. 10am - 12pm - Devonport Community House - Join in with the craft, cuppa and chat group for free and make your own card to take home.
Thursday: 10am - 11am Devonport Community Garden - join in with the garden volunteers and take a moment to enjoy the beauty of the garden (2 Morris Avenue). Free morning tea at 10am.
Friday: 2pm - 3pm - FoodShed - Free Soup Friday! Enjoy some delicious veggie soup made from yummy garden veggies! Pick up some free bread while you are here.
