Discover the Sparkle of Tradition: Silverberry Beading Workshop
Kalyn Kodiak, a proud Métis and two-spirit person, Kalyn is descended from a lineage of healers, teachers and artists.
Join us for a 3 hour hands-on journey into Metis culture as we explore the art of crafting with silverberries—also known as wolf-willow berries. These naturally shimmering beads have been used for generations to create stunning rosaries, jewelry, and regalia that carry deep cultural meaning.
Guided by a Metis herbalist, you'll learn how to clean and pierce these unique berries, then design your own rosary or necklace to take home and wear with pride. Plus, you'll get a taste of tradition with a sample of “Metis ice cream,” a delightful dessert made from the silverberry bush, and connect with a variety of medicinal gifts from the silverberry.
Spaces are limited—reserve your spot today and connect with the beauty of Metis heritage!
