Family, we’re opening the doors wide for everybody in the city to come eat good, laugh good, and feel that Detroit love. On Saturday, December 13th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Detroit is Different is hosting a special community food event at Greater Quinn AME Church, located at 13501 Rosa Parks Boulevard, Detroit, MI 48238—right at the corner of Rosa Parks and Davison.

This is a space where all are welcome:

Families who are stretching meals and doing the best they can,

Families with refrigerators full,

And everybody who just appreciates some real-deal Soul Food.

And speaking of soul food ...

You already know who’s holding down the kitchen—Ms. Keisha’s Kitchen, the official Collard Green Cookoff Winner. Her greens didn’t just win the cookoff; they’re winning over hearts, stomachs, and taste buds all across the city. If you’ve never had her food, this is your chance. If you have, then you already know why you don't want to miss a plate.
