Menagerie - an art show with Mark Sarmel and Lurk & Destroy

On Saturday, September 6th join us artists Mark Sarmel and Lurk & Destroy at La Galería in Mexicantown - 2835 Bagley St. Detroit, MI. Each will be presenting numerous new works; Mark will be showing works from his Los Demonios Amigos series and Lurk & Destroy will be presenting works in his usual bombastic style of exploding colors, retro inspired creatures and modern psychedelica.

Both artists are coming together with a collection, nay a menagerie of beauty and brain melting eye burning art! This is a show not to be missed. Check out the discussion for previews of the show, but be warned, no lowly electric screen can convey the true power of these images. They must be seen with your own thirsty eyeballs. Now, scribble in your calendars, set your reminders and make haste, for the opening will be here all too soon.

This visual donnybrook is free and mostly kid friendly (Ok, the occasional middle finger may be depicted and cartoony demon faces will be in abundance, but rest assured your kid's psyche will remain intact!) Music will be played, laughs will be had and memories will be made. Doors open at 6
