Hosted by National Comedian and former radio personality: Detroits own SHANIE D* Funny First Sundays is a monthly clean comedy experience presented by Body of Christ International Church, created to uplift hearts, strengthen community, and bring God-honoring laughter to families and believers of all ages.

Held every first Sunday of the month, this unique ministry event blends faith, fellowship, and fun in a joyful atmosphere that refreshes the spirit and reminds us that laughter is a gift from God.

Rooted in the scripture, “A cheerful heart is good medicine” (Proverbs 17:22), Funny First Sundays offers wholesome, clean comedy that encourages, heals, and unites. It is a safe space where joy meets purpose, and humor is used to build up rather than tear down.

Each month features talented comedians who share relatable, life-inspired humor that reflects Christian values while bringing genuine laughter and connection to the community.
