THE TEMPTATIONS REVIEW featuring the legacy of DENNIS EDWARDS celebrates the legacy of The Temptations and late Icon Dennis Edwards former lead singer of The Temptations for 14 years. Dennis Edwards was a part of Motown’s first Grammy award for Cloud Nine. His gritty vocals were showcased on Billboard hit singles “Psychedelic Shack”, “Runaway Child”, “Ball of Confusion” and “I Can’t Get Next To You”. “Papa was a Rolling Stone” was a smash hit for The Temptations and is still sampled by Artists today. Dennis Edwards in association with The Temptations (Otis Williams, Eddie Kendricks, Paul Williams, and David Ruffin) whom he replaced in 1968, earned 16 Platinum albums, 53 Billboard hits, Inductee of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and 8 Grammy Awards. The Rolling Stone magazine named The Temptations as 100 Greatest Artists Of All Time.
THE TEMPTATIONS REVIEW featuring the legacy of DENNIS EDWARDS was founded in 1998 and continues to be a fan favorite international touring act for 25 years. This group of handpicked singers by Dennis Edwards are original members of Dennis Edwards’ Temptations Review. Talented International Artist David Sea, the lead singer, shared the stage with Eddie Kendricks, David Ruffin, and Dennis Edwards. THE TEMPTATIONS REVIEW featuring the legacy of DENNIS EDWARDS continues the Legacy of The Temptations and Dennis Edwards by performing the Authentic songs of The Temptations for fans all over the world “My Girl”, “Just my Imagination” and “Get Ready”.
Dennis Edwards was the first singer to join the Temptations after their “Classic 5” period. With his rougher gospel-hewn vocals, Edwards led the group through its psychedelic, funk, and disco periods, singing on hits such as “Cloud Nine” (1968), “I Can’t Get Next to You” (1969), “Ball of Confusion (That’s What the World Is Today)” (1970), “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone” (1972), and “Shakey Ground” (1975), among others. Two of these songs, “Cloud Nine” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone”, won Grammy Awards.
