May 28th Lunch n' Learn & Resilient Leadership: Guiding Teams

On Wednesday, April 23rd a combined monthly meeting, educational Lunch 'n Learn (LnL), and training webinar sponsored by the Des Moines Chapter of the AGA. Lunch (BYOL) begins at 11:30 am, followed by a brief business meeting. The LnL presentation begins at 12:00 pm followed by the webinar from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

Lunch ‘n Learn: “Leadership” by Adam Steen, Director of Department of Administrative Services

1. Identify the core leadership competencies essential for navigating crisis in the public sector.

2. Implement communication techniques that foster transparency, trust, and direction during high-stress situations.

3. Cultivate personal and organizational resilience to maintain stability and performance.

4. Make sound, mission-aligned decisions under pressure and in rapidly changing contexts.

5. Create a supportive team environment that encourages adaptability, collaboration, and psychological safety.
