Iowa Needs Good Dudes Mini-Conference

WHAT IF THE BEST DUDES IN THE WORLD LIVED IN IOWA?

The next GOOD DUDES conference is happening Friday, May 23rd at 7:00pm at Frontier Church. It's free and open to any men, regardless of what church they do attend or if they attend church at all. The last Good Dudes conference had church members from 5 different churches in Iowa, and we hope to have more this time around. Here’s the schedule:

• 7-9pm worship: We will have sermons from Domic Jackson (lead pastor at Gateway Church) and Cole Deike (church planter at Frontier Church in Des Moines) and worship music led by Frontier Church.
• 9pm+ after party: This is the bread and butter of Iowa Needs Good Dudes. After the conference, we will hang out and meet other solid christlike dudes. Last year, some men left after 15 minutes and some men stayed until 3am. Feel free to bring cigars, drinks, etc (if you are of age and able to enjoy responsibly).

WHILE THE EVENT IS FREE, WE ONLY ASK THAT YOU PRAY THE GOOD DUDE PRAYER EVERY DAY LEADING UP TO THE EVENT:

Heavenly Father,

In our beloved state of Iowa, we see the chaos and confusion in the world around us, where masculinity is distorted, disintegrating and diminished. The culture tells us lies about what it means to be a man, glorifying selfishness, weakness, and irresponsibility.

We reject the world's false narratives. We believe that true masculinity is found in Jesus Christ. The world has failed to show us what it means to be real men, yet Christ alone has given us the perfect example.

Jesus, You were tough yet tender, a servant and a leader, the lion and the lamb. Teach us to loathe passivity and to reject inaction. Make us men who take responsibility for our homes, workplaces, communities, and churches.

Father, we confess that the world's lies have infiltrated our hearts. We have been passive when we should have been present. We have been weak when we should have stood strong. We have been rigid when we should have been tender. We receive your forgiveness and we rejoice in our great salvation that you have bestowed upon us.

Holy Spirit, make us men on fire. Grant us power, that we might overcome the failures of our fathers. Drench us with love, that we might overcome the anger in our hearts. Fill us with wisdom, that we might defy the cultural stereotypes and transcend its low expectations. Infuse us with joy, that we might have the passion of one hundred worldly men.

May we build families that radiate with the light of Your presence: marriages fortified by the love of God, children dazzled by the wonder of the Lord, and homes that function as portals from earth to heaven.

May we build churches that stand as beacons of truth: unyielding in the face of adversity, undying in their love of doctrine, and overflowing with the power of Your Spirit.

May we build friendships forged in the furnace of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit: iron that sharpens iron, camaraderie that laughs in the face of the devil, brotherhoods that make men who change the world.

Triune God, we commit our lives to You and your kingdom.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done
