Gordon Hendricks has crafted an impressive career as an Elvis Presley tribute artist, deeply inspired from a young age by the rock and roll legend. Growing up in Stoke on Trent during the 1970s, Gordon honed his talent by singing along to Elvis tracks played by his sisters. This early passion set the stage for an extraordinary path.
His breakthrough came with his appearance on ITV’s ‘Stars in their Eyes,’ where he wowed audiences with his uncanny ability to channel Elvis. His performance resonated not only with the public, who voted him as the series champion but also with industry legends like Elvis’ songwriter Geoff Morrow. Morrow, impressed by Gordon’s vocal prowess, offered him a recording opportunity, leading to the release of “Where Will I Be,” a song meant for Elvis.
Gordon’s achievements include winning the ‘World’s Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artiste Champion 2017’ title at Graceland, a testament to his exceptional talent in a field with global competitors. His performances impeccably capture the essence of Elvis, from the iconic 1968 comeback special to the dynamic Vegas years. Now, as he embarks on ‘The King’s Voice’ tour, fans will experience a celebration of Elvis’s legacy through Gordon’s remarkable skill, showcasing the timeless hits and energetic performances that Elvis was known for. Gordon Hendricks stands out as a unique performer, embodying the spirit and voice of Elvis Presley on stage.
