Once A DJ Podcast brings you an night with a legendary selector playing an all-vinyl set of Garage Punk, with a bit of surf and rockabilly thrown in for good measure.
Keb Darge is a DJ who first rose to prominence in the early 80s Northern Soul scene and then through the 90s ran Deep Funk at Madam Jojo's, which became a forerunner in the Deep Funk scene. Keb has a rich history of Djing and collecting, inspiring DJs and producers such as Kenny Dope, Madlib, DJ Shadow, Francois K and many more.
Now championing the garage punk sound of the late 60s, you'll have the opportunity to listen to (and dance to) some of the rarest records out there. Just a little look into Keb's life will show you the lengths he'll go to for records.
Additionally, before he plays, we'll chat a bit about the music to set the scene and get a bit of education!
This is going to be not only a top night, but a musical education, so get yourselves down!
