A date for your diaries! We'd love to see as many of you as possible at the following, important meeting at the church next Thursday - see details below.
YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOU - TO HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF ST. MARY THE VIRGIN CHURCH, WESTON ON TRENT
WHAT IS HAPPENING?
A meeting is taking place on Thursday 31st July at 7.30pm in the church. The aim of this meeting is to vote for new church officers – so this is your chance to get involved in the appointment of a church warden for St. Mary’s, and help shape the future of the church for the local communities. It is an opportunity to not only take part in the decision-making process, but also to consider volunteering to support the Friends of St. Mary’s fundraising group, and other groups such as the cleaning and maintenance groups.
This is a short meeting of approximately 15 – 30 minutes’ duration, and so won’t disrupt your evening plans!
WHO CAN ATTEND?
Everyone residing in the local parish of Weston on Trent, and whose names are on the local government electoral roll for the parish of Weston on Trent; this also includes Willow Park Way.
Also eligible is everyone who is on the church electoral roll for St. Mary the Virgin Church, Weston on Trent.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
This is a great opportunity for the local community to attend, and also encourage friends, neighbours, and other parishioners to join this important meeting to vote and help shape the future of the church. We would also love to welcome more future supporters to play an active part in general volunteering, or fundraising, and/or membership of the Friends groups.
We hope to see as many of you as possible next Thursday.
