2.00pm – Hayley Ellis
Hayley is a former regular sight gag contributor for the Russell Howard's Good News television programme. (Avalon Television) and has also written for 8 out of 10 Cats. She has appeared on MTV’s “Why aye love Geordie Shore” and “Comedy Set Lists” for Virgin television. She can also sometimes be heard on your wireless. (Absolute Radio) and her sketches and jokes have appeared on Newsjack (Radio 4)
3.25pm – Rob Rouse.
Ever exuberant and recognizable from his many TV appearances including ‘Upstart Crow’, ‘8 Out Of Ten Cats’, John Bishop’s Only Joking’, ‘Celebrity Juice’, ‘Dave’s One Night Stand’ and ‘The Friday Night Project’, as well as making a guest appearance on ‘Coronation Street’. With his cheeky banter and extremely funny tales, he’s always one step ahead of his audience’s expectations and keeps them enthralled with his
comedic storytelling.
4.50pm – Markus Birdman
The intelligent, controversially witty, hip and silly Markus Birdman, who got to semis of last year's ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. Regarded by many in the know as one of the best circuit acts in the country, he has toured internationally and had highly acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Festival. His dandyish onstage confidence, versatility and infectious nature result in a truly absorbing performance.
6.15pm – Stephen Carlin - Edinburgh Fringe/Glasgow Haircut
I told you this would happen. Goodnight America. That's where optimism gets you. Decades of Scottish pessimism and cynicism and finally we've been proved right. There's never been a better time to be alive. Armageddon is such a leveller. Now excuse me I'm off to microdose on ketamine. ***** (Herald). 'He’s a quality comedian. Recommended' (Kevin Bridges).
7.30pm – Friz Frizzle’s Funny Turn
Friz has been crafting parody songs for over two decades. They've put them in a big book and the audience will select random numbers. This means if the show is shit, it's your fault. Friz has also been pretty ill. A 2022 diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy almost made them retire from comedy. That is, until they got a big knee. A big knee that changed their life. ***** (NeurodiverseReview.co.uk). **** (BroadwayBaby.com). Winner of the Leicester Comedy Festival Best Show 2020, Writer for The Now Show, Mock the Week and Len Goodman's Partners in Rhyme.
Takes place on the outdoor stage in the covered beer garden. Food available.
