Remaining Native invites you to a free community screening of the documentary film featuring Kutoven Stevens.

About this Event

She Carries Her House Productions is thrilled to announce a FREE community screening of the award-winning feature documentary film , a coming-of-age story told through the perspective of Kutoven Stevens, a 17 year old, Native American runner from the Yerington Paiute reservation as he navigates college athletics while the memory of his great-grandfather’s 50-mile escape from the Stewart Indian School begins to connect past, present, and future.


The film had its World Premiere at SXSW winning two awards, the Special Jury Award and the Audience Award in the feature documentary competition. It also recieved a Special Jury Mention for Cinematography at the Dallas International Film Festival and the Emerging Documentary Jury Award at Milwaukee Film Festival.


This event is organized in collaboration with Grupo Tlaloc in celebration of the film's screening at Outside Fest. This event is free and open to all. Please RSVP to register for an accurate headcount.
