About this Event

Celebrating 25 Years of Global Impact for Women & Girls

Join us for a special evening celebrating Beyond Our Borders (BOB)—a group-advised fund of the Women’s Foundation of Colorado— as we mark 25 years of global grantmaking to uplift women and girls. We warmly invite all current, past, and prospective BOB members, Women’s Foundation staff, and the many supporters, partners, and advocates who have helped shape our impact over the last quarter century.

Let’s reconnect, reflect, and celebrate what we’ve built together—and recommit to the road ahead.

The evening will feature a dynamic fireside chat with two visionary philanthropic leaders:

Elizabeth Barajas-Román, CEO of the Women’s Funding Network

Renee Ferrufino, President & CEO of the Women’s Foundation of Colorado

Together, they will explore how bold, values-driven philanthropic action is transforming communities worldwide. In a moment marked by political uncertainty, economic instability, and growing threats to rights and equity, these CEOs will discuss:

  • How WFCO and WFN are moving beyond words to action—and accelerating real impact
  • What it means to move resources and power through trust-based philanthropy
  • How donor activism and organizing are evolving—and why it matters now more than ever
  • The growing movement to center immigrant voices and build cross-movement solidarity
  • Emerging opportunities for collaboration and innovation in philanthropy
  • Activating funders globally, including new efforts in Latin America

We hope you’ll come not just to hear from these inspiring leaders, but to gather with the people who’ve made Beyond Our Borders what it is: a vibrant, globally-minded Denver community committed to equity and opportunity for women and girls.

Appetizers, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.

Date & Time: Wednesday, August 20 - 5:30 to 7:30 pm

Location: Denver Country Club

Suggested Donation: $20. Your gift at registration helps cover the cost of the event.

Let’s come together—old friends and new—to celebrate our shared legacy and look toward what’s next.
