Ever wondered how artists create simple, yet instantly recognizable illustrations with just a few lines? How do they look at people, objects, or landscapes and reduce them to their most essential forms?
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to simplify what you see, make confident brush strokes, and focus on the elements that truly matter in a drawing. You’ll leave with pages of playful sketching exercises—and maybe even a finished piece you love.
Taught by Denver-based illustrator and designer Lily Hoang-Zhu—known online as @liliuhms—this class blends creative exploration with practical techniques. With a background in toy design, children's literature, and branding, Lily brings a fresh and thoughtful approach to visual storytelling.
