Before the Bedroom: A Foreplay Workshop for Those on the Spectrum is a gentle, inclusive class designed specifically for neurodivergent individuals who want to deepen their understanding and enjoyment of foreplay. We’ll explore sensory preferences, communication strategies, and consent in a setting that emphasizes comfort, autonomy, and clarity. This workshop centers the experiences of autistic folks and welcomes a spectrum of gender identities, orientations, and relationship dynamics.

Led by a neurodivergent facilitator with experience in both sex education and somatic practices, this workshop combines discussion, demonstration, and optional participatory exercises. We’ll cover topics like touch negotiation, pacing, sensory overload prevention, and the emotional nuances of intimate connection. The class will also include tools for identifying and expressing your desires, navigating triggers, and co-creating sensual experiences that feel safe and exciting.

This is a shame-free, curiosity-driven space where questions are encouraged and no one is ever pressured to participate beyond their comfort level. Whether you’re exploring intimacy for the first time or seeking better tools to connect with partners, Before the Bedroom offers affirming, practical support for building satisfying foreplay experiences. Come solo or with a partner—everyone is welcome.

About the Instructor:  Fawn O’Breitzman has been a college professor for over 20 years. She specializes in issues of Sex and Gender and presents at conferences all around the country. She does inclusion training for businesses and has worked with everyone from hospitals to construction yards to help companies make sure they are providing the best and most respectful care to their clients. She has been a social worker, therapist, and a professor. She has been married to a neurodivergent gender queer person for 24 years and understands the need to be concrete and straight-forward when discussing topics of human behavior!

This class is appropriate for adults and teens.
