AAPI Culture Fest 2025, Denver: Tai Chi and Kung Fu Celebration at TBA

In Honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, this event celebrates AAPI identity through art, culture, and community while fostering unity and cross-cultural understanding in Colorado. Bringing AANHPI communities and organizations together, it celebrates and showcases the richness of their diversity and heritage.

The successful Year of the Dragon Initiative is transitioning to the Year of the Snake Initiative. The Tai Chi Project at Living Younger Longer Institute will coordinate the Tai Chi and Kung Fu Celebration of Chinese martial arts based out of "Chinatown." A selection of Year of the Snake goodies from Truong An Gifts will be available as well as YOSI hoodies and t-shirts... and information about the many small Asian businesses we are partner with.

Denver Shaolin Kung Fu Tai Chi Institute, Zhu Xilin: Wushu style "master", and Greg DeMichele: Chen style "master" will join the TC Project to demonstrate why martial arts and Tai Chi have fascinated and healed for centuries.

Come join us as we demonstrate forms and encourage the crowd to participate. Then come on over to our booth in "Chinatown" to ask questions, get information, and enjoy the Asian cultural experience.

NIght Market and Community Hubs:
At the heart of our AAPI Culture Event lies the Community Hubs, a vibrant cultural marketplace where visitors can immerse themselves in the diverse cultures of Denver's AAPI communities. Explore a mosaic of traditions from Vietnamese, Hmong, Filipino, Korean, Mongolian, Japanese, Chinese, and Pacific Islander cultures. Connect with AAPI businesses and non-profit organizations, and engage with members of various communities, from "Chinatown" to "K-Town."

AAPI POP-UP ART AUCTION

Please join us for a ONE NIGHT only LIVE POP-UP ART AUCTION. In tandem with this year’s AAPI Culture Fest Night Market, the art auction is free and open to the public. Staged during three intervals (6:30; 7:30; 8:30) throughout the night, visitors will get the chance to bid on artwork made by local AAPI artists of all ages. From young adults to internationally-recognized artists–there will be a wide range of artwork and price points to choose from. This is a great opportunity to build your own art collection, in support of local AAPI artists and our community-at-large. Artists will receive 100% of their sales proceeds, with a 10% suggested donation back to the Denver Asian-American Pacific Islander Commission (DAAPIC) for next year’s Culture Fest.
