Denton County residents are invited to attend an official SKYWARN Storm Spotter Training Course, hosted in partnership with the National Weather Service.
This free, in-person course is designed for anyone interested in learning how to safely recognize, identify, and report severe weather in North Texas. Whether you are a weather enthusiast, first responder, amateur radio operator, or simply someone who wants to better protect your family and community, this class provides valuable, practical knowledge.

SKYWARN training helps improve warning decision-making and strengthens community preparedness by ensuring accurate, timely weather reports reach the National Weather Service.
The course is open to the public. No prior weather experience is required.
