Each moon we gather around the fire to drum, dance and enjoy life together in a simpler way. We create a better vibe and find healing through gratitude, we lift each other up with a heart of servitude. We prefer the path of humility to one of pride, although no place is perfect we appreciate our beloved America! It's up to us to change our world and how we relate to one another; a great place to start is just being ourselves and giving one another room to grow.
To communicate without words, to listen to more than ones own sound and contribute to the collective voice in a different way: drumming is a way to work through things and to grow if we make it about more than ourselves. Drumming is a profound medicine!
We have extra drums if you're without, it's ok to bring out what ever instruments you have; flutes go nicely as well!
This is also a camping event (optional) in a private nature reserve with woodland trails, creeks and much wild life. We have an outdoor kitchen set up in the barn, cooking and sharing is a great way to enjoy the experience. Bring some food for the potluck or cook up your favorites if that's your pleasure. Sunday morning we typically make breakfast on the grill. Neighbors are welcome to pull up on their side by sides, but electric only toys on the trails since they're quiet (we do golf carts, scooters and onewheels). While we do have a porto potty, barn and a water hose; consider this a primitive adventure.
This is a leave-no-trace event, remember to pick up after yourself! Leave the land cleaner than you found it. Be respectful and loving to the other creatures who share the land. The land will speak to you if you’re listening; we've prayed over this land for years and you'll find a healing spirit waiting for you.
If it rains, we'll put up the drum circle rainfly or drum in the barn. Being out in nature means working with the weather as best we can and still enjoying in gratitude!
This event is for adults, but it's ok to bring your kids and make them part of your experience. We expect parents to watch and care for their kids. We expect adults to watch out for the little ones; ie don't smoke by them and do your best to set a good example.
While I am a servant of Jesus Christ, I open my home to all. I don't drink or smoke, but I don't judge those who do. You can bring a drink, just don't be drunk; smoke, but make sure not to leave trash behind. I do my best to love everyone, I don't do drama.
This event follows the moon cycle and happens on the closest Saturday to the full moon.
Cost: Free (this event is donation based). If you have abundance then help out. If you are not in a season of abundance then simply come share in your tribe's abundance and don't worry about cost.
