Wild Wonders: Painting in Plein Air

Spend some time taking in the beauty of the lake and trying to capture it in watercolors! This hands-on activity for adults and kids helps slow down and take in the details of our surroundings while enjoying the outdoors. Our staff is here to help and guide you, and all levels of experience are welcome! All supplies are provided.



Registration is not required for this program, but spots are limited and first come, first served. Those who register online are guaranteed a spot until full. Your gate fee gives you access to the entire park, and all programs happening that day.

We are grateful to the Bronco Wild Fund Grant Program for their continued support in promoting access, stewardship, and preservation of public lands. Through their generous funding, initiatives such as trail management, campground restorations, adaptive equipment resources, and new introductory access programs are helping more people connect with the outdoors. In 2025, BWF is furthering this mission by supporting programs that break down barriers to outdoor recreation, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy and care for Alabama State Parks.
