Local History Talk - DeLand Digital History Tour

In 2023, the City of DeLand launched its first-ever Digital History Tour in celebration of National Historic Preservation Month. This engaging tour makes DeLand’s rich history easily accessible. City planners Belinda Williams-Collins, Emily Kunkel, Carol Kuhn, and Community Information Manager Chris Graham researched the sites to be showcased, collected photos and historical snippets, and published the information on Google Maps and Google Earth.

Come behind the scenes for a historic snapshot of each site on the tour, the creation process, and details about this project's success. Presenters will also share information about additional City preservation initiatives and projects.
