The Santa Clause

Scott Calvin is a cynical, divorced dad whose worst nightmare—a forced Christmas Eve with his son, Charlie—takes a dark, hilariously absurd turn when he accidentally kills Santa Claus by startling him off the roof.

Following a cryptic instruction on Santa's card, Scott and Charlie finish the late man's deliveries. When they are magically whisked to the North Pole, Scott learns the chilling truth: by putting on the suit, he invoked the "Santa Clause," a binding contract that forces him to become the next St. Nick.

Now, Scott must race against the clock as he begins a spectacular physical transformation, all while trying to balance the monumental responsibility of the job with the challenge of convincing his skeptical family and a world of non-believers that he is, in fact, the one and only Santa Claus. It's a fight for his sanity, his relationships, and the spirit of Christmas itself.
