The Big Sleep: A workshop for readers with Hazel Atkins

Join Hazel Atkins to explore “The Big Sleep” by Raymond Chandler. Hazel Atkins (PhD, University of Ottawa) loved teaching English literature to undergraduates before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She and her family moved to Deep River in August, 2023.

Hazel’s series on developing a reader’s toolbox through short stories and her exploration of “The Hobbit” and “The Waste Land” were phenomenal, and we are thrilled to have her lead us through “The Big Sleep”.

Participants are expected to have read specific sections in advance of each session. If you would like a hard copy of the book, please place a request through interlibrary loans two weeks in advance (bWRhbGV5IHwgZGVlcHJpdmVybGlicmFyeSAhIGNh).
