Welcome to 'Authors in Deep', a series of book readings, inspiring Q&A sessions and book signings with fascinating Canadian authors, all with a local connection.
Join us in the Library program room for a talks with authors Marilyn Carr, Dr. Alison Seely and David Becker. Events run from 6:30-8pm.
November 13: Marilyn Carr
Marilyn Carr is a 2020 MFA graduate from the University of King's College. The most recent installment of her memoirs, "If It's Shreveport, It Must Be Tuesday", was published in July 2025. She is currently working on her first foray into fiction: a rom-com set in Deep River, Ontario.
December 4: Dr Alison Seely
Dr. Alison Seely is an active triathlete and veterinarian. When she crashed her bike into a mama black bear, Alison found herself with time on her hands and wrote her first book "One Bone at a Time: Tales of an Adventurous Animal Chiropractor". Alison has just finished writing her third novel, "Beyond Borders"
January 22: David Becker
David Becker is a writer and artist. He spent most of his career in the visual arts and has always had a passion for writing fiction. He has lived in Ontario, Manitoba and New Brunswick as well as a short time in Ireland. He continues to write novels and short stories from his home in Arnprior, Ontario.
