Annual General Meeting and Summer Get Together

It’s time for our annual general meeting and why not make it a party! The Deep River Players will be holding their annual general meeting and a summer celebration at the Hexagon on Saturday, July 12th. The meeting will start at 1:00 pm.

At the AGM, we will have the election of executive members. Many executive members are willing to stay on, but we are always looking for new members. The executive meets once every two months from September to June and oversees the club activities. It is important to note that the executive (while we often have many differing roles) does not run a show, a show production team is put together for each show. So being on the executive doesn’t mean you have to be in, or backstage for, any production.

Following the business of the AGM, which really shouldn’t take long, we can relax into a delightful summer party get together with games on the lawn and the beach. There is always the chance of a few skits breaking out or singing spontaneously happening. The Hex will be open for food and drink. (Pre-ordering food is a good idea.) It promises to be great fun and we hope to see you there!
