ABOUT THE ARTISTS
A fifteen-time GRAMMY® Award winner, Ricky Skaggs has had a profound influence on country and bluegrass music for over six decades. Beginning his career as a child prodigy playing alongside Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs, Skaggs went on to achieve mainstream country success in the 1980s, earning twelve No. 1 hits and the CMA Entertainer of the Year award. However, his deep-rooted passion for bluegrass led him back to the genre, where he has continued to thrive alongside award-winning band, Kentucky Thunder.
Kentucky Thunder is one of the most celebrated groups in bluegrass, winning eight IBMA ‘Instrumental Group of the Year’ awards. The band's stellar lineup includes:
