4.7 Mile/7.5K Spud Hill Hike in Deary, Idaho
All proceeds to benefit VFW post 3913 in Kendrick Idaho. Come on out and support the local VFW and take on the challenge of hiking Sud Hill with weight. This is a fireteam challenge so bring your friends!

Fireteam Challenge
-Minimum pack/vest weight is 25 pounds, children under 15 are not required to carry weight, packs will be weighed upon registration. Parents carrying infants or toddlers in a chest or back harness are excluded from the weight requirement and will not be weighed.
-Non-weight class is exempt from awards and prizes but are welcome to participate in hike and BBQ.
-Minimum team size is 2 people; max team size is 10 people. Single hikers are welcome to show up as long as they do not mind being teamed up with an existing team or other single hikers, large groups will be divided into teams.
-A small prize will be awarded to the fastest overall time (with weight), Heaviest pack, and goofiest team theme. All members of the team must go through all check points along the route in order to qualify for any awards with the exception of medical issues… Bragging rights for all teams who finish full hike.
-This is a family friendly event, keep team names and themes appropriate for all audiences. Hikers are encouraged to advertise their company or business within their team’s theme.
- Hikers under the age of 18 will need parental or guardian signature upon registration but are not required to hike with parent or guardian.
***Entry fee; $25 per adult, $10 for children under 10, $20 for Veterans or Active-Duty military who have proof of identification. $10 for people who just show up for the BBQ.
***Registration starts at 08:30 am at the Deary City Park, event starts at 10:00 am or once all teams have been registered.
This hike is intended to be a fun and tough challenge, Rain, Snow or Shine it is happening. Hikers need to dress accordingly. Hikers will provide their own water and snacks for the duration of the hike.
***After all participants have completed hike prizes will be awarded, BBQ will start at 11:00 am.
