Advent Tree Lighting

Celebrate the start of the new liturgical year! 💜

Join us on Sunday, November 30 at 6pm as we usher in the beginning of the liturgical year with a renewed focus on the meaning of Advent—the first season of our Church year. In recognition of our parish’s 75th anniversary year, this year’s Advent Tree Lighting has been thoughtfully refreshed to highlight the beauty, prayerfulness, and hope of this sacred season.

Enjoy beloved traditions including hot cocoa, Christmas cookies, a family sing-along, and a ceremony and prayer to open the evening. We will then process outside for the tree lighting and afterward process into the church for Night Prayer—a peaceful, 15-minute prayer service.

New additions this year include a self-serve cart for purchasing parish apparel and commemorative 75th anniversary ornaments, as well as a kids’ coloring and activities station for our youngest parishioners.

Come celebrate the start of Advent with an evening of community, tradition, and joyful anticipation—made all the more meaningful during this milestone anniversary year.
