After selling out last summer to rave reviews, the Lisa Sherman/Franke Previte led Taylor Simon King - Three American Troubadours (TSK-TAT) returns to The Axelrod to once again celebrate the music of 3 legendary singer/songwriters, James Taylor, Carly Simon and Carole King with unique arrangements, fan favorites and engaging storytelling, as performed by James Gedeon, Lisa Sherman and Alice Leon. The lives and careers of these 3 popular musical icons have always overlapped and intertwined — and their music continues to inspire generation after generation. TSK-TAT celebrates these musicians and their music with unique arrangements, fan favorites, deep cuts and engaging storytelling with multimedia projections. Audiences will marvel at the versatility of Taylor Simon King‘s sensational band and fall in love with its three powerhouse vocalists’ renditions of these classic hits.
TAT is headlined by Lisa Sherman (former Rockette/Broadway entertainer), clever songstress Alice Leon, and James Gedeon…whose interpretation of James Taylor is truly amazing. TAT’s band members have performed with notable acts as: The E Street Band, Loggins & Messina, Bon Jovi, Southside Johnny, Gary US Bonds, Max Weinberg’s Jukebox, America, Kenny Rogers, The Marshall Tucker Band, Livingston Taylor, Vanessa Williams, Tommy Bowes, Jeff Kazee, The Coasters, Dave Koz, Billy Joel, Phoebe Snow and Harry Connick, Jr.and many more. Three American Troubadours is produced by Sherman and her husband, Oscar and Golden Globe winner, Franke Previte (co-writer of “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” and “Hungry Eyes” from Dirty Dancing).
