About Robin Samiljan
Robin writes, “I focus on painting expressive landscapes in an impressionistic style. Using water in a
spray bottle, I work ‘wet on wet’ and teach students how to trust the process and let
the water guide the paint rather than forcing it.”
She works with multiple art mediums using saturated pigments on papers
and boards often combined with wax or gesso to create luminous, dimensional
textures. She is a signature member of the Chicago Pastel Painters, a member of the
Green Bay Art Colony, and has maintained an Artist Membership at the Copley Society
of Art in Boston since 2012.
Most recently, her home has transitioned from Chicago to Green Bay where she is
actively re-connecting with nature influencing her art. She offers workshops in Door
County, Wisconsin at the Peninsula School of Art, classes through the Artisan Center in
Green Bay, and at selective local art centers. She is also available for private and semi-
private lessons in her home studio.
