History of the Rosary Presentation, Social & Display – October 7
Our Lady of Lourdes is pleased to host Jacob VanSchyndel on Tuesday, October 7, from 8:30 to
9:30 a.m., preceded by a coffee & juice social from 8 to
8:30 a.m.; This date is the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. Jake will present a PowerPoint and talk about the history and origins of the rosary. He will also bring a display of very unique and special rosaries from around the world. Joining Jake with some unique stories of his own is OLOL parishioner, Scott Crevier.
Jake is the owner/operator/artist of “Rosaries for a Reason.” He also manages the Cathedral Book Store at 131 S. Madison St. in Green Bay. Both Jake and Scott make rosaries and do cleaning and repairs.
This presentation event coincides with October, the Month of the Holy Rosary, with a Rosary Novena from October 1-9, at 6:30 p.m. in the daily chapel at OLOL, as well as a Rosary Rally Sunday afternoon October 5, at
3 p.m. These events will culminate the weekend of October 11/12 with a display of Jacob VanSchyndel’s extensive rosary collection in our church Gathering Space after all the weekend Masses. Jake will be present to answer any questions you may have. These events are for your spiritual enrichment, inspiration, and admiration. (This is not a sales event.)
