Door County Cherry Pie

Pastry instructor Gina Guth shares the tricks and easy method for creating a flaky pie crust.

In this hands on class you will learn how to mix using either shortening or lard, how to roll with ease and transfer to a pie pan.

Gina will demonstrate how to flute the pie with special tools or by hand the old fashioned way. She will also show the process for thickening tart cherries for pie filling.

The $60 cost includes the lesson, recipe, and ingredients to make a lattice topped cherry pie. Take the finished pie home to bake at your convenience or freeze for later use.

Class will end with each person enjoying a slice of Door County cherry pie a la mode that Gina baked ahead.
