Soapbox History: D-Day: A Day that Changed History

Join Ryan Lowry, Exhibition Manager, in Root Hall at the Museum of Arts & Sciences to discuss one of the most infamous days in history! On June 6th, 1944, over 150,000 soldiers. sailors, and airmen cross the English Channel towards the Normandy coast for one of the biggest days of World War II. D-Day signaled the beginning of the end for Hitler’s Third Reich and started the road to victory for the Allies. Americans played a massive role in the invasion, seeing the heaviest losses of the day and toughest objectives to take. Learn about D-Day and how it has culminated into one of the most pivotal moments in history.
