About the event

The Case For Free Speech
The League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Area and the Dayton Bar Association’s Social Justice Initiative are hosting “The Case for Free Speech,” the second event of their Constitution series. The discussion, moderated by the Honorable Caroline H. Gentry, U.S. Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio, will focus on the specific rights of free speech guaranteed to citizens in the First Amendment and how a free press helps keep the government accountable.

The panel includes Luke Dennis (General Manager of WYSO Public Radio), Jordan Ostrum (Community Impact Specialist, Dayton Metro Library), Emiko Moore (Multimedia Journalist, ThinkTV), Josh Sweigart (Editor, Dayton Daily News) and Chris Roederer (Interim Dean of the University of Dayton School of Law).

This free event will be presented on Wednesday November 19 4:00 to 5:30 PM at the Eichelberger Forum Dayton Metro Library, 215 E. Third Street, Dayton, OH 45402.
