ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Dayton Track Club Run/Walk Training Group incorporates periods of walking with running to build endurance and minimize injury risk. Our 21-week Training Program offers three in-person training runs per week (Tu/Th/Sat) to prepare participants for any spring half or full marathon.

PROGRAM START
Week of January 5th. First in-person group run - Tuesday, January 6th @ 6:00pm.

WHEN/WHERE
Each week, the group will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 6pm, and Saturday @ 8am at a centrally located location in the Dayton area (i.e. Lane Stadium, bike path by Carillon, etc.).

PREREQUISITES
To ensure optimal experience and safety, we recommend participants be able to average a pace of 9 to 13 minutes per mile.

ABOUT THE COACH
Nate Buchner - Nate is an RRCA certified running coach and has been leading the Dayton Galloway Training Group for the last four years. Nate started his running journey later in life than most, and ran his first half marathon (The Pig) and full marathon (Columbus) at the age of 39. Some 15 years later, he has completed 25+ marathons and just as many half marathons. Those in his running group have seen success at 10k, half and full marathon distances. He is well versed in the theory and application of the run-walk interval method and prides himself on making sure you are ready for race day as injury-free as possible.
