On the eve of the 2025-26 Men’s Ashes, Hotel Trentham is thrilled to host an Evening with Tony Dodemaide on Tuesday 18th November from 7pm.
Tony Dodemaide has held a position on Cricket Australia’s Men’s National Selection Panel since 2021.
At the time, Dodemaide commented "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a contribution, not only in the immediate tournaments and series but also to help chart the medium to longer-term course of the Australian men's teams. Throughout my cricket journey I have often been close to high-performance and selection, so I feel well suited to and prepared for this role."
Dodemaide played 10 Tests and 24 ODIs for Australia as a bowling all-rounder, averaging 22.44 with the bat in Tests and took 34 wickets at 28.02.
Dodemaide is an experienced sporting administrator, having served as chief executive of Cricket Victoria and the Western Australian Cricket Association. He was also MCC head of cricket at Lords.
For the locals, Tony Dodemaide is also one of the landlords of Hotel Trentham and has been incredibly supportive in helping us bring the pub back to life!
