The Golden Fleece is a psychedelic rock band hailing from Peoria, Illinois. Formed in 2012 as a solo recording project by Ryan Simpson, the band evolved into a full-fledged group with the addition of percussionist Max Kamm and bassist Zach Jackson in 2015. Guitarist Jacob Hagaman joined in 2016, completing the lineup.
Their music blends late '60s psych influences with modern indie and folk, characterized by hypnotic vocals, soaring guitar melodies, and a driving rhythm section. The band has released several albums, including their self-titled debut in 2016 and "Mind Mirror Demos" in 2021. Known for their high-energy live shows, The Golden Fleece have performed alongside acts like Chicano Batman, Frankie & The Witch Fingers, and Dead Meadow at various venues and festivals across the U.S.
