Darker Side of Davenport: Halloween Edition

712 W. 2nd Street — a historic address that has stood witness to the dramatic and sometimes chilling evolution of Downtown Davenport since the Germania House was first built on this site in 1862. From a string of barbershop murders and a fire at a mental hospital to ghostly sightings at City Hall and séances on a college campus, this former hotel has seen it all. And it has its own dark and fascinating tales to share.

Join us as we uncover the story of what is now the German American Heritage Center and Museum, then embark on a guided walk through downtown to explore the eerie and captivating legends that haunt the surrounding neighborhood.

This special Halloween edition will be led by Special Guest Tour Guide John Brassard Jr.: Author of "Eerie Quad Cities" and "Murder and Mayhem in Scott County, Iowa". John will be incorporating additional dark and eerie stories into the standard Darker Side tour.
*Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your tour time. Tours will depart promptly.

Tours are approximately 90-120 minutes in length. The meeting point is in the lobby of the German American Heritage Center and Museum.

Special Notes:

- Tours will be cancelled for inclement weather and are not rescheduled; guests can transfer tickets to another date if possible.

- Walk-ins are not guaranteed. Pre-purchase of tickets is strongly suggested.
