What does it mean to be Troppo?

For residents of the Top end, the word "Troppo" is used to describe the charm, beauty, complexity and challenges of life in the Territory. In Italian, the word translates to mean ‘a lot’ or ‘too much’.

Tony Business, Nonna Binary and Gloria Hole are troppo people, navigating troppo lives with the wit, glamour and drama of an Italian Drag family spectacle.

This one-person theatre show made by one of Darwin's most tolerated artists uses storytelling, music, audio-visuals and movement to present a glamorously camp spectacle about self-discovery, connection, family and community.
