2025 marks 50 years of Playback Theatre — a global celebration of storytelling, connection, and community.

Here in Darwin, we’ve been working with a passionate group for 8 weeks to prepare a special performance. We invite friends old and new to join us for an afternoon of stories that shaped us — individually, in our families, communities, and places.

What moment gave you direction, purpose, identity?
What experience formed your view of yourself or the world?

In Playback Theatre, audience members share a story, and actors and musicians bring it to life through improvised performance.
No story is too small. Everyone’s story matters.
No one has to share... but someone always does!
