Club Awi 2025 – the year of local, national and international collabs
This Club Awi we’re bringing everyone together to get the party really pumping! Our line-up is serving some core Darwin heavies in the mix with the fresh bloods coming through, to present flavas you’ve never heard before. From Kununurra to Palmo, Bali to Katherine, Nightcliff to Wurrumiyanga, we’ve got you covered. We’ll also be graced with some Larrakia visuals curated by Mikaela Lee and we’re leveling up in the realm of performances and MCs as our cherries on top.
Every Friday and Saturday night after our late music gigs, the decks will ignite with killer mixes – think afro grooves colliding with moombahton and baile-funk, bootscootin’ boogies through to disco glam, and a seamless flow from classic R&B booty bounce/jersey to fresh new school hip hop across house and footwerk. It’s going to be a proper Darwin sonic feast!
Get your tickets at the door or stick around after your INPEX Sunset Stage late show for free entry.
FRI 8 AUG – DJ R!OT + Mista Monk
Known for her smooth blends of hip hop, R&B and afrobeats, DJ R!OT brings those feel-good vibes that get the crowd moving. Her sets are a perfect mix of the classics and the latest heat, with the right amount of hype building to keep the dancefloor lit all night. But that’s not all – she’s got a knack for switching things up with moombahton and reggaeton, bringing the aura points up x 1000 and keeping the energy high. When she’s not rocking the club at GWOP, Afro Topia and TLP at Mayberry, DJ R!OT loves to get into the deeper, more underground vibes. Baile funk, jungle and drum and bass are her secret weapons – raw, gritty and full of flavour. Whether she’s in the club or vibing solo, DJ R!OT is always on the hunt for that next track that will make you move.
No stranger to the club and festival circuit in Australia, Mista Monk has held it down with artists such as Mista Savona, Digital Afrika, Ganga Giri, Monkey Marc, Combat Wombat and Laneous amongst many others. We’ve got him opening the night alongside DJ R!OT as MC on the mic and then djing us through to the tail end of this event.
SAT 9 AUG – Laundry Gallery x Country Struts Hoedown + BENNYGOLD
Two hours of disco cowboy anthems, line dancing and glitter-fuelled fun. Brought to you by Laundry Gallery x Country Struts Hoedown, this high-energy event celebrates the flair of modern boot scooting, while honouring the deep legacy of Indigenous stockmen and women in the Northern Territory.
