🖤 WILD THINGZ! COMIC WORKSHOP SERIES
Workshop 3: BLAK POWER COMIX with Jonathon Saunders
Saturday July 5 | 12pm–2pm | Darwin Visual Arts
FREE | For young First Nations artists (Ages 12–25)
Join us for a powerful and creative workshop designed to uplift and inspire the next generation of First Nations comic creators.
Led by Jonathon Saunders—proud Indigenous artist, writer, animator, and co-founder of Wild North Comics—this workshop is part of the lead-up to BLAK POWER COMIX, a groundbreaking new First Nations-led comic anthology launching in August 2025.
Participants will learn the foundations of character design, storytelling, and world-building, with a focus on representing identity, culture, and strength through the comic book medium. This is a safe, creative space for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices to explore the graphic arts and bring their stories to life.
