WTM Long Run January

When : Sunday 4th January

Time : Meeting at 8:45am for 9am start

Meeting : Rambles Country Cafe, Tockholes Road, Darwen BB3 0PA

Distance : 11.5 miles / 18.5 km

Total Elevation : 1614 ft / 492 m

Pace : Social / Conversational (no runner left behind)

Terrain : Mixed - Rocky hard-packed & some muddy trails

Difficulty : Challenging

Kit : Suitable running kit (waterproof may be required), trail shoes are highly recommended, food & water

From the café, we’ll head up to Darwen Tower, then cross Darwen Moor to join the Witton Weavers Way. From Belmont Reservoir, we’ll climb up and along Redmond’s Edge to Great Hill, before heading down through Tockholes Plantation and back to the café.
