📍 Hike Info – Dovestone & The Trinnacle – Fri 9th Aug
We’ll meet at 9:00 a.m. at the main Dovestone Reservoir car park (Bank Lane, OL3 7NE). If that’s full, try Binn Green (OL3 7NN) or lay-bys on the A635. We’ll aim to set off shortly after.
🥾 Route: ~10.4 miles | ~1,300 ft elevation
A scenic loop around Dovestone and Yeoman Hey Reservoirs, heading up to The Trinnacle and back.
⏱️ Expect around 4.5–5 hours walking time with breaks.
👟 Suitable for:
Anyone with reasonable fitness and sturdy footwear. There are some steep and rocky sections but the paths are mostly clear and well-trodden.
🎒 What to bring:
• Walking boots or trail shoes
• Waterproofs (just in case)
• Water (1–1.5L), snacks/lunch
• Optional: poles, sun cream, spare layer
