Hello Halifax sketchers!
The Halifax Urban Sketchers will be meeting up again this Sunday! This week we will try to capture some of the fun of the Christkindlmarket at Alderney Landing.

Meeting location: Near the Craig Gallery inside Alderney Landing.
Please note that this is a free event. Just show up at the Alderney Landing Market area near the Craig Gallery on Sunday and look for the group of friendly people with sketchbooks. Similar to previous outings, you may want to bring a sketchbook, pens, pencils, erasers, etc., but it is probably best to pack light and maintain a small footprint in case we end up in a busy spot. Feel free to bring a friend as well!
The Christkindlmarket is described as a way to “Celebrate the holiday season at Alderney Landing’s Christkindlmarket, a traditional German holiday market on the Downtown Dartmouth Waterfront. Explore unique goods from local vendors in a festive atmosphere filled with holiday cheer. Enjoy free carousel rides, photos with Santa, and lively performances all weekend, including mainstage entertainment and our iconic Singing Christmas Tree. Don’t miss this joyful holiday event!
Depending on the temperature, we may be able to do a quick and simple sketch of what we see outside (the Singing Christmas Tree or the carousel), and we likely be able to find plenty of indoor inspirations or be able to see things of interest out the windows.
